Walking & climbing

Up towards the skies

Walking is something you can do anywhere but it doesn’t get more beautiful than the Pinzgau Alps around Maria Alm!
Here you can enjoy a simple, easy valley walk. Or you can explore one of the many wonderful themed and meadow trails with family or friends. You can also visit the Prinzenberg Natrun with your family – a paradise for children and the young-at-heart with slides, games and sports equipment. And if that’s still not enough, you can tackle a challenging high mountain walk - some of which take several days to complete.

If you are a fan of climbing, you can try one of the many fixed ropes courses on offer or even tackle a cliff or ice wall. There are plenty of possibilities in Pinzgau.

For beginners or if you are seeking a route away from the usual trails, Pinzgau has some very well-trained hiking and mountain guides who can support you with your plans.

Whatever you choose, Maria Alm and the Pinzgau mountains are sure to offer an unforgettable experience.
